Akaroa is definitely our favourite family spot – it is only 80 km away from Christchurch, so perfect for a day trip, and it has it all – stunning landscapes, spectacular harbour, authentic restaurants offering French and local cuisine (make sure you visit famous Akaroa Fish & chips!), boutique shops & galleries. The dolphin cruise is a must attraction too!
Kaikoura is a great place to GO whale watching and don’t forget to stop by Kaikoura Seafood BBQ for lunch. Enjoy fresh crayfish with stunning ocean views!!
